Putting the Arrow Into Action

The Order of the Arrow is more than an honor bestowed upon Scouts and Scouters. It is a commitment to service, leadership, fellowship, and the ideals of Scouting. Nanuk Lodge puts that commitment into action through a wide range of programs and activities designed to strengthen our lodge, support the Great Alaska Council, and provide meaningful opportunities for Arrowmen to serve and grow.

From maintaining a strong camping tradition to recognizing those who embrace the challenges of year-round outdoor adventure, Nanuk Lodge’s programs reflect the unique character of Scouting in Alaska. Our Arrowmen work together to build memorable experiences, serve at council and unit events, develop leaders, and preserve the traditions that have connected generations of Scouts across the Last Frontier.

Camping and Outdoor Adventure

Camping has always been at the heart of the Order of the Arrow. Nanuk Lodge supports and encourages the outdoor program of the Great Alaska Council while providing opportunities for Arrowmen to gather, camp, serve, and enjoy the outdoors together.

Alaska offers opportunities—and challenges—that few other places can match. Nanuk Arrowmen embrace that spirit through lodge camping events, service opportunities, and programs that encourage Scouts and Scouters to get outside in every season.

Lodge Awards & Recognition

Nanuk Lodge believes that outstanding service and dedication deserve to be recognized. Our lodge sponsors programs that celebrate Arrowmen and Scouts who go above and beyond in their commitment to Scouting and the Alaska outdoors.

Our Frost Points program recognizes those willing to brave the cold and embrace year-round camping, while the Alaska Heritage Award celebrates a deeper understanding and appreciation of the history, culture, and heritage of our great state.

These programs are more than awards—they are invitations to explore, serve, learn, and experience more of what Alaska and Scouting have to offer.

Service, Leadership & Fellowship

The programs of Nanuk Lodge depend on Arrowmen who are willing to step forward and serve. Throughout the year, our members support council events, assist local units, participate in service projects, and help create opportunities for Scouts throughout the Great Alaska Council.

Along the way, Arrowmen build friendships, develop leadership skills, and create traditions that will be carried forward by the next generation.

Whether you are looking for your next service opportunity, planning your first lodge event, or searching for a way to become more involved in the OA, there is always something happening in Nanuk Lodge.
