Did you know that there are local, national and international companies located in Alaska that match dollar-for-dollar what their employees donate to charity? A number of these corporations also provide cash contributions for employees that spend a specific number of hours volunteering at a nonprofit. In addition, companies and corporations also contribute to local communities in a variety of ways such as:
- Direct cash grants/gifts to nonprofits
- Sponsorship of fundraising events
- In kind donations of product/services
- Workplace/employee giving programs
- Loans of employee talent
- Employee volunteer programs
- Partnerships with nonprofits/causes
If you made a donation or are planning a donation to the Great Alaska Council, Boy Scouts of America, all you have to do is ask your Human Resource, Marketing, Public Relations or Community Relations department if your company has a matching gift or volunteer match program. If the answer is YES, then follow these steps:
- Submit a donation to the Great Alaska Council, Boy Scouts of America office
- Inquire with your Human Resource, Marketing, Public Relations, or Community Relations Department regarding a matching gift verification of your donation or volunteer hour match forms
- Complete the form (s) and mail it to the Great Alaska Council, Boy Scouts of America 3117 Patterson Street, Anchorage, AK 99504 or email to alaskabsa@gmail.com
Upon completion of the above steps, you are done. We’ll take care of the rest! Once we receive your forms, we process and mail them to your employer’s benefits department or corporate headquarters. Your employer will mail a matching gift check directly back to us and your pledge will be increased based upon the amount of the matching gift check.
Thank you to all of the companies that are in our matching gift program for their significant support to the Great Alaska Council, Boy Scouts of America. These programs are a great way for companies to support Scouting, Learning for Life/Exploring and other youth development/leadership programs and a chance for you to double or triple your donation.
Below are lists of companies that provide gift matching. If you do not see your company here, please contact Development at 907-337-9547 ext. 104 to update this page.
