If a car’s chasing you, you’ll definitely get tired. However, if you chase cars, you’ll get exhausted!
Calling all Pinewood Derby Car builders, racers, Cub Scouts, adults, and all race fans alike. The Council Pinewood Derby Championships are back! We look forward to seeing all the fantastic cars, zooming down the track at record speeds. The Council Pinewood Derby has three class divisions. Thus your vehicle will be competing against cars/ racers of the same age group. You may enter multiple cars into the race, each car will need its own registration. Each car will race multiple times on all lanes of the track, the race computer will then take the average time of each heat and calculate a time. The car with the best times in each division will be the winner.

What is Anchorage House of Hobbies Hobby Fest? Hobby Fest is a free event showcasing various hobbies from model trains to RC Cars, to Flying drone demos. This event will have something for the whole family to enjoy. From hands-on clinics and workshops to food trucks.
Cub Scout Division
This division is for youth K-5 grade and under the age of 11.
Scouts BSA Division
This divssion is for youth 6-12 grade and under the age of 18.
Adult Division
for any racer over the age of 18 who wishes to compete
Event sponsorship
This event is an opportunity to have your logo featured promptly on race materials and advertise your organization to families all across Alaska.
For all divisions, you can enter as many cars as you would like. Awards will be given to the first, second, and third-place cars; also one award will be given to the best of the show in each division.
As this is a fundraiser all proceeds from this event go to support at-risk youth in Alaska.
